What does the next 3 years look like based on party promises, what Harris gave us in 1996 and the effect of inflation. The effect of not #DoubleODSPNow in 2022 for NDP means they will never hit poverty line & Liberals will never be above Harris rates.

Ontario NDP still has a chance to fix this. Andrea Horwath please give us a rationale as to why we must live in deep poverty until end of your 2nd year? Ontario Liberal Party / Parti Libéral de l’Ontario how can you justify continued deep poverty & not even beat Harris’ deep cut rate? Ontario PC Party it’s unfathomable for anyone. To vote for them after their destructive attacks on people with disability these last 4 years.

Green Party of Ontario keep holding the line and Mike Schreiner please make sure you hold all the other leaders accountable as to why they feel we should stay in deep poverty. #ODSPinTVDebate. Ask why all parties not #DoubleODSPNow

All increases in chart are calculated by promises and inflation rate of 6.7%. The poverty line is based on 2020 Low Income Measure and increased by inflation for 2023/2024. The actual poverty line is probably higher.

  1. It is frustrating that all parties are on the same page. Keeping ODSP recipients in deep poverty below levels before the Harris cuts! Please vote wisely in this provincial elections. Greens can say all they want but they don’t have the numbers to form majority government needed to meet their promise. Like most of us that were involved in the PUT FOOD IN THE BUDGET CAMPAIGN across Ontario during the McGuinty and Wynne years asked: WHY MUST WE CONTINUE TO REMIND YOU TO PUT FOOD IN THE BUDGET WHEN YOU HAVE NO PROBLEM GIVING PROFITABLE CORPORATIONS THE NO-STRINGS ATTACHED CORPORTATE WELFARE THAT THEY DON’T NEED?
